About the Filiae Laboris Mariae

        Welcome to the School of Mary, hosted by the Filiae Laboris Mariae Sisters! We are a semi-contemplative Marian community of Sisters dedicated to serving Holy Mother Church by assisting Our Lady. We particularly serve her through our Liturgical Life, the Interior Life, and the Apostolate. We are fittingly called semi-contemplative, as we pray the full Divine Office, one and a half hours of common quiet prayer before the Blessed Sacrament, and also an hour and fifteen minutes of private prayer and spiritual reading each day. In our external apostolate, which is usually in the setting of a parish, we support the priests of God in their service of Christ and His Vicar by our presence among the faithful, by assisting with catechesis, and also by helping with other needs of parish life. We hope you enjoy these classes created by the sisters to glorify the Goodness, Beauty, and Truth of God and His Church.
